The SRH services and IEC/BCC activities conducted by Youth Centre includes;

·        Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT)

Free services offered in the VCT include HIV Counseling and Testing and Referral services for HIV and AIDS, T.B therapy, ARV, PMTCT and preventive therapy.  The Youth Centre has a working partnership with University of Nairobi’s Ministry of Health Clinic; and Partners in Prevention Study Clinic (PIP) based in the largest referral Hospital in Eastern Africa (Kenyatta National Hospital), for the discordant couples and a Post test Club for supporting Young People Living with HIV and AIDS (YPLWHA).

·        RH Youth Clinic Services;

The Clinic offers RH services to young people and the community at large. Its capacity includes; STIs diagnoses, management and treatment, FP services, counseling on management of Adolescent RH issues, pregnancy tests, Immunizations, Ante Natal Care and treatment of minor ailments.


·        General Counseling

General Counseling on sexuality, Relationships, Teenage Pregnancy prevention, Adolescence, Growth & development, Abstinence, STIs and HIV&AIDS, Career Choice, Drugs and Substance Abuse among others.

·        Peer education Activities

Peer Youth Education activities are conducted by trained peer youth educators through; lectures, group discussions, individual talks, Video shows, formation of peer education clubs, theatre performances and community outreaches.

·        Binti Africa Girls Initiative

The initiative works with adolescent girls especially those who have dropped out of school for various reasons and strives to empower them. The initiative offers vocational trainings on Hairdressing course, computer classes, T-shirt making and printing and RH information through weekly FGDs.

·        Library Services;

The library offers ample reading environment, a choice of various RH materials and distribution and stocking of IEC materials on ASRH issues.

·        Recreational Activities

Indoor games like pool table, table tennis, darts just to mention but a few which are geared towards drawing young people to the resource centre and at the same time maintaining them in the centre.

·        A TV/Entertainment room

An entertainment room that doubles up as an edutainment facility, the facility is used to reach out to young people with information through educative movies and documentaries. It is also a pulling strategy for the Youth Centre through the other genres of movies that are shown in the facility.


·        Information Centre
An information centre that has internet connected computers that provides E-learning on ASRH and connectivity to the outside world thus empowering and linking the young people with various opportunities and capacity building platforms.
